Keynote Speech by Dr. Frannie Léautier at the graduation ceremony of the African University of Science & Technology (AUST), Abuja, Nigeria
Indeed you are extremely fortunate to be graduating today. Your generation lives at a time of high potential and high expectations. Africa is on an optimistic trajectory serving today as a growth pole for the global economy. You have a chance to make that sustainable. Africa is richly endowed in existing and newly discovered natural resources. You are the generation that will transform them through science and technology to create restructured economies that bring value to different parts of the production chain and render them useful for Africa's development.
